About MAH MCA CET 2026

MAH MCA CET 2026 (Maharashtra Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test) is a state-level, computer-based exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra, for admission to MCA programmes offered by government, aided, university departments and private institutes across Maharashtra. The exam assesses a candidate’s problem-solving ability and foundation in Mathematics, Logical/Abstract Reasoning, English usage and Computer Concepts, ensuring readiness for a rigorous postgraduate curriculum in computing.

The test is typically held in online (CBT) mode with 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 200 marks. Each question generally carries two marks and there is usually no negative marking, allowing candidates to attempt all questions strategically. The syllabus focuses on core quantitative topics (algebra, coordinate geometry, calculus basics, statistics), reasoning (series, analogies, patterns, data sufficiency), English (vocabulary, comprehension, error spotting) and computer fundamentals (data representation, operating systems, DBMS basics, C fundamentals).
